Did anyone get pregnant right after stopping the pill?

I stopped taking my birth control in the middle of April, by the middle of May I tested positive for an at home pregnancy test. My question is I had my period the first week of April, so I was expecting it the first week of May however with stopping the pill it threw my system off and I didn't get my period i bled for maybe three days after stopping the pill mid april so I have no idea when I ovulated. So I guess my semi stupid question is, does that three days of bleeding count as a period? My first OB appt is next week for my estimated 10 wk so I will find out then how far along I am. I was just curious, what are your thoughts?

I stopped the pill April 3 mid cycle. Bled for about 4 days after. POAS May 2 to a faint line.  Also had no idea when I ovulated.  

At my first OB appointment, I measured exactly (to the day) as though April 3 was the first day of my LMP.  So in my case, that 4 days of bleeding "counted" as a period for me.

I got my iud out, spotted the next day, and got a positive test less than a month later. My last period was August 2010.

My MW an I guessed my due date would be between around the middle of January but I had a u/s for dating.

I stopped my pills for May, spotted early May, 5 positive pregnancy tests just last week.

With DD, I took the last active pill of my pack and had my period on time (March 9), I then tested positive April 10th. 

With this pregnancy, I stopped with a few pills left had my normal period, then had another period about 2 1/2 weeks later on March 29th (it was fairly normal-4 days long).  I then tested positive on a Wondfo on April 21st at 10 dpo. 

Both due dates were correct based on my lmp.

I stopped the mini pill at the end of March, had 4 days of bleeding in the beginning of April, and got a positive HPT May 15th! And at my dating ultrasound I was only measuring 6 weeks, not the 9 that my LMP would've suggested. So I have an additional ultrasound next week to better date the pregnancy. But my OB just thinks I ovulated later than we thought which makes sense after going off the pill and not getting a positive HPT until 2 weeks past when I should've gotten my period.

Hell no, you ladies are very lucky. It took me a year and a half to get pregnant after going off the pill, it screwed my body up royally. I'm never going on it again.

i hated the pill. It didn't mess with my fertility, but it causes many other problems for me. I will defiantly be looking for an alternative after this babyis born. They make me feel like crap.

Sounds like you should count those 3 days of bleeding. I stopped the pill around April 20 something and got my period around April 24. My BFP came May 23. But my husband seems to have super sperm. Anytime I stop BCP or even miss one, he seems to get me pregnant.

Yes I started the pill after months of TTC so that we wouldn't get pregnant too close to the wedding. I didn't like it after two weeks and so stopped and planned on trying something different when my next cycle started. It never did, I was KU a couple of weeks after stopping BC.

I stopped pill April 2. Positive test May 2. . Ovulated 2 weeks to the day after stopping. With no withdraw bleed or period.

Yes, I did, first cycle.  I stopped taking the pill right after my period in the middle of April.  I did NOT expect to get pregnant right away, I figured I'd need a cycle to get it out of my system, then figured it'd take at least three months like it did last time.  I was charting, but FF gave me crosshairs for Thursday and I figured by Sunday we were safe.  Nope.  (I'm not complaining!  We wanted this, it was just a little earlier than expected.)  You can see my chart in my siggy.

I'd say it counts.  My LMP was March 27th & I pretty much stopped taking my pill when I got that. Since I stopped nursing DS about 2 mo before that,  my system was a little out of whack & I was actually having a period every 2 weeks leading up to that.  My OB said that the breakthrough bleeding was normal for some who use the mini pill & of course my body was in transition mode after weaning.  I'm just guessing here, but I'd maybe consider what you had as breakthrough bleeding, which as far as I know can be considered the same as a period.

I got a BFP on April 22nd. We conceived first cycle out of the gate.

Ha-I got pregnant while still taking the pill. I had a three day gap between when I finished one pack and started the next....anda month later,  suprise! I felt like a complete idiot because I should have known, but here we are. And now that we are over the shock and surprise, we are super excited. :-)
