that I got immense satisfaction out of the fact that Lily absolutely refused to eat the homemade chicken nuggets MIL brought for her?
Food and MIL has been an ongoing issue, because she keeps making out like Lily hates everything I cook and loves everything she cooks. There are also two processed foods I feed Lily - Kraft Dinner about once a month and frozen chicken fingers once every week or two. MIL has previously told me that I should make her recipe of pastina instead of the KD because it's healthier, and then yesterday she had specially made these chicken nuggets that she was so sure Lily would love. Lily took a bit for lunch today and threw the rest on the floor (which she rarely does these days). I feel vindicated and smug, and I know I shouldn't.

Re: Does it make me a bad person. . .
Thank you! DH keeps thinking I'm over-reacting. I know in general I'm very lucky when it comes to my MIL, but this one thing is really frustrating and demoralizing. Everyone else is so impressed by what a good eater Lily is, and MIL thinks that she's very picky and hates everything I make.

LOL Super, you now have that image in my head. I can just imagine how everyone would react to it.
I've been very restrained. I didn't even tell anyone (other than you ladies) about it - although I really wanted to call my mom and tell her, 'cause she knows how much the whole food thing has been bugging me.
