Long Range baby monitor

I am looking for a monitor that will work well when I am out in the back yard in the evenings after our LO has gone to bed.  Ours loses its range basically at the back door.  Any suggestions?

Re: Long Range baby monitor

  • We are too cheap to buy a new monitor, so we use our phones when we go outside. You can either facetime each other if you have an iphones and leave one phone in the baby's room, or you can dowload a bunch of apps for other smartphone platforms - if you don't mind not having video, the EVOZ monitor works great. Just make sure to turn off the ringer & notifications for the phone in the baby's room :)

  • If you have two iPhones or an iPad and an iPhone you can download the Baby Monitor app for like 3 dollars and it will reach as far as your WiFi.
  • I have the Motorola video monitor and am currently in our vacation house watching LO in a connecting house with reception. I also get great reception in our basement with LO on the 3rd floor.

Depending on how big your house is or how far away your yard is but we have a 2,500 sq ft house DS is upstairs and our Motorola video monitor goes to our neighbors front yard and definitely works when are sitting out in our backyard. This is what we have: Motorola MBP33 Wireless Technology 2.4 GHz Digital Video and Audio Baby Monitor with 2.8" Color LCD Screen.I love having a video monitor and don't think I could use anything else.

    Oh it's the same one!
