During Father's Day dinner last night with my parents, we were going over baby names I liked and asked for more suggestions for family names from my parents. My dad had an uncle named Madison Hatcher. I FELL in LOVE with Hatcher for a boy. My husband's FN would be the boy's FN but go by his MN (my husband is Joseph Austin and goes by Austin) I'm not crazy about doing it that way since I think it's confusing sometimes. What do you all think about Hatcher?
We aren't going to find out what we're having until our LO gets here.
Big sister's name is Gabby.
Re: Family Boy Name!
I actually really like Hatcher!
I do think using the MN as the FN think is totally confusing though, but I know in some parts of the country it is a pretty common thing.
So would the name be Joseph Hatcher or Austin Hatcher?

It would be Joseph Hatcher.
I'm not crazy about using Joseph or any of our names in the baby's name actually, just something my hubs is in to.
So TRUE!! We told my MIL we also liked the boy name Liam and she said, "EWWWW! That's disgusting!!!"
Geez! I love that it's different and he would probably be the only Hatcher in the class. =]
I like Callahan! But its your baby, your decision!
I think if the kid is named Joseph he will get called Joseph a lot. Why not do Hatcher Joseph?
