DH and I are just stuck in a rut about names. We both love what we love, but don't love what the other loves. The mn is Anne, to honor my mother and grandmother, and I'm sort of deadset on that. I know it's a basic middle name that should be simple to match with, but our last name is a noun that means country, so it's been harder than you would guess- colors and adjectives are OUT. Suggestions? DS is Sullivan.

What are some examples of what you each like so we can get a feel for your style?

We like Irish (and like the Irish-surmname-as-first-name trend). Sullivan is the best example, we really don't agree on much else. DH likes Hadley and Kennedy, I like Brigid.

What about Rory, Rowan or Finley. NMS but I've also heard Delaney used for a little girl.

What about using Anne as a first name? Since you both agree on it, it's easier to compromise with a middle name.
