Fainting NBR

I started feeling nauseas last night about an hour after dinner. Around midnight I woke up and went upstairs to puke. Not sure what happened on the way to the bathroom, but things went black, I banged my head into a doorway and fell into the living room. My mom saw it all go down and she is freaking. I came to and told her I had to throw up and she helped me get to the toilet and stayed with me. Now she is driving me nuts to go to the doctor and thinks I have something else going on to make me faint. I think it was just part of food poisoning. I have fainted a few times in my life. Anyone else a fainter? Would anyone be worried? I think it was NBD.

My MIL faints every time she gets a stomach virus. The last time she hit her head so hard she got a concussion. Had you thrown up a lot?

Oh yeah? I only threw up last night and then it was over.

Hmm. I would say just watch for dizziness or if you pass out again, I would go to the doctor. Hope you're feeling better today.

Anyways, I had the onset of vertigo when pregnant with DD2. I had a really bad episode, which doesn't sounds like what happened with you last night, but maybe you had a mild episode?

Nooooo..... I'm sticking to my story of food poisoning and dehydration.  We'd been outside all day.  However, will probably be doing a test in a few weeks just to ease my mind!

I get fainting spells fairly often due to low blood pressure.
They come more often when I am sick, pregnant, menstruating or otherwise 'weak'.
