Preggo Problems

While doing laundry today I realized that I can no longer reach the bottom of the washing machine to get the clothes out.  This is a problem!  I still have like 11 1/2 weeks to go!! I DO NOT remember having this problem with DS. Oh well, it looks like hubby just earned himself a new job!

 

What other preggo problems are you having?

I noticed the same exact problem the other day! Anything that requires bending over is a struggle and I seem to be really off balance lol none of this took place during my first pregnancy!

Along with your current problem...getting up from a laying position and getting my socks/shoes on. Lol. DH has been helping with everything though thankfully.

I knocked my hairspray bottle off the edge of the counter when I was getting ready this morning...with my belly bump. Late last week, I was trying to move past the open car door as I was closing it (in the garage) and I bumped my belly harder than I had anticipated on the edge of the door. Ow! (Don't worry, surface pain, not hard enough to make me worry about the safety of our LO!) This belly situation is just a little ridiculous. I hear they keep growing, too!

I went bowling last night and it took me like 10 minutes to get my shoes on and tied!! Hadn't noticed quite how much my belly had grown since almost all of my shoes are slip on!!

Today it was easier to roll off the couch into the floor onto all fours and then stand up instead of getting up directly off the couch. I'm sure I look ridiculous, but this bump is getting big!

I was just lamenting the fact that I now have to completely contort my body in order to paint my toes. And even then I do a pretty crappy job of it.

Reaching for things.... Like up in a cabinet or across the counter! So frustrating cuz bump is blocking me from putting up towels and some dishes!

Baby was really low the other morning and I could not for the life of me get my shoes tied right. I ended up walking into work with my shoes untied because DH wasn't awake to help at 5:30am.

I'm also having trouble with a lot of physical stuff at work. Unfortunately, there's no way out of it.

Other than bedrest I need to remember to open doors wider. My pregnant asss can't fit anymore. Oh and don't forget to move the seat back while driving. My belly has been touching the wheel but my legs aren't long enough to comfortably touch the pedals.

Oh Stacey, bless your heart.  I am so sorry but I am cracking up at this image.  

 

This morning when I was preaching I kept forgetting how big my belly was and every once in a while I would run into the corner of the pulpit.  I guess I need to move a little less when I'm up there.

I have this problem too!  Granted I'm not having twins, but my arms are so short that I have to sit on top of the steering wheel to reach it!

Me too!!! Also I can't buckle this really cute pair of sandals that I have so I'm pretty much living in flip flops or sneakers. And even tying the sneakers is getting rough. LOL!

Sounds like it's time for a pedicure! I'm due for one this week, and I don't feel bad about spending because painting my own is not just a laborious process, it's just not worth it when someone else can make them look far more fabulous and I can sit in a massage chair while it happens!

The only thing that's a real PITA so far is bending down, not because of my belly, but because the blood rushes to my head. Definitely don't remember that with DD but its instantaneous when I lean down and its uber-annoying! I feel like I've been hanging upside down for several minutes and its been two seconds.

Also, I second the washing machine issue. We have a new washing machine this time around and I've taken to spinning the barrel so I can reach all of the clothes or CDs. Perhaps getting a step stool would help? Then my short arms might not be able to reach the bottom....quite the predicament.

I keep thinking I should get one of those claw/clamp things on a stick to help with picking things up! Shoes are getting to be a bit of an issue but mostly it's realizing how far I stick out - I was at a party with a friend this weekend and I kept bumping the bump into her in the buffet line! I'm also concerned about our bed - we just got a new one that's very comfy but so very high up, I have to kind of heave my short self into it. Either it's going to have to come off the frame or I'm going to need a step-stool.

I just finished painting my toenails.  I did a rather poor job because reaching them is getting to be a little tricky.

And today, I was attempting to trim my lady bits with an electric trimmer. I'm sure that process was a real sight to behold.

Laundry, getting anything out of our top cupboards since I am short to begin with, shaving, painting my toes. The last two I had no problem with for my last pregnancy, but I have serious issues this time.

Also RevLaura, I totally thought of you today while I was sweating my arse off in church this morning! I guess something is up with the AC and it was so HOT! It made me think about your congregation complaining that your church was cold... I would have died to be in their cold shoes!

Laundry isn't so bad yet since our machines are on pedestals which are a good height for my 5'7 self..however bathing my DD is a whole other issue. Getting down next to the tub and leaning over to help wash her is becoming increasingly more..um...Impossible!!!!

My preggy problem is my grouchy attitude and no beer to solve my problems. Odouhls amber isn't cutting it. However, drinking it in the shower helps. Oh my lord help me.

I had trouble getting everything out of the grocery cart at the store the other day. Once it's in the checkout lane, I can't scoot around it and it's hard to reach the part that's not close to me.

I lol'd at this...but it's the easiest way!  Getting out of bed is pretty hard for me, especially if my bladder is full.  I somehow roll myself onto all 4's [it's a struggle] and back off the bed because there's not my room on my side to get off, and H is on the other side.

Also, any bending down, putting on socks, getting my other leg into underwear/pants, getting into my car, the list goes on.  Not to mention I have to get close to my patients at work and am constantly bumping them with my belly, lol.

Yesterday was the first time I had trouble reaching stuff in my kitchen while I was trying to cook.

Oh, and to get out of bed lately I have to swing one leg up and use the momentum of it coming back down to sit up. Otherwise it's not happening.

So funny yesterday while trying to reach the bottom of the washing machine I was thinking I'd probably see a post like this one soon! I'm having the same problem lol.. I also went to Kelsey's today and I sat on those tall table chair I had to slide my way over into the corner and had the hardest time getting out of the table! Lol I couldn't reach the floor and I looked pretty helpless! Preggo problems.

I do this all the time!  Especially if I am lounging or laying back on the couch! I'm sure we look graceful

I was at a wedding last weekend and the bathroom stalls were narrow and the toilet paper dispenser was on the side that the door opens on (not the hinge side) and it was SO HARD to get into it and close the door.

We have a front-load washer/dryer that aren't on pedestals, so I definitely have trouble reaching the stuff all the way in the back since I have to bend over so far. I try to do laundry when DS is around so he can reach in there for me.

I'm struggling to reach my keyboard at my desk comfortably, too.

Over the weekend I noticed a purplish stain on my tank top in the middle of my bump. I couldn't figure out what it was until I realized I smooshed a blueberry between my bump and the counter w/out realizing it when I was making fruit salad. Oye...

I got my first pedi of the season this weekend when I tried taking off my own polish and it was impossible.
