I love the name Keturah! It's a totally legitimate name.
One, it's biblical. It's the name of Abraham's second wife.
Two, my BF went to school with a Keturah, which shows that the name is being used.
Three, a book I loved in high school was called "Keturah and Lord Death."
To me, Katurah is a family spelling of an awesome name. I don't think she'll have to spell it all the time. Just "Katurah. It's K-a-t." She can also just give her name as "Kat with a k." My vote would be to use the original spelling, but if the other spelling is more meaningful, I'd say go for it.
