Pregnant after 35

Vent

I called my insurance to see if they cover an epidural and the stupid rep said he would need to know the procedure code to look it up. WTF? How do I know the procedure code? Hold on while I pull that out of my a. It's a basic, standard effing procedure during delivery. Idiots. Vent over.
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.

Re: Vent

  • If this is your first pregnancy, my insurance company had a pregnancy rep call me and explain everything to me. I had Harvard Pilgram. Maybe call and ask if there is such a person, usually a nurse who works for the insurance company. It was very helpful to me in my first pregnancy. She explained everything.

  • Sorry that your insurance is so unhelpful.  I would think that the billing person at your OBs office would be able to help you figure out what is covered and what is not.  GL!
