Orange County Babies

St. Jude Medical-Fullerton

Have any of you ladies delivered here before? Or, if this is your first time, have you taken a tour of the maternity floors? All of the tours are booked up until past my due date...so I have to rely on the online pictures. I want to know how the shower is in the room because I really want to be able to use the shower when I'm in labor (I'm having a natural birth).

Re: St. Jude Medical-Fullerton

  • I am a FTM and will be delivering there. I am going on a tour on June 29. I can let you know once I see it.

  • Hi there. I have delivered all three of my babies there. I have no comparison, but I have always been very pleased. I had two drug free deliveries, and one epidural but I was on pitocin all three times so I wasn't able to use the shower or really get out of bed at all except to use the restroom. The showers are fairly large though, so I am sure they would work to labor in if you are able. :

  • Hi and congratulations!

Yes, I gave birth to my first child at this hospital and my husband and I are very excited about our current pregnancy and hope to use them again. I highly recommend it. The nurses are very helpful and the delivery rooms are huge. Overall, I'm pleased with their child safety guidelines and the fact that they are very open to meeting your needs as a patient.

I was fortunate to have a natural delivery and as soon as my baby was born, she left my sight only twice (for her well baby checkups), but other than that, the baby was with me all the time.
