Fruits and vegetables (for you!)

How good are you about eating fruits and vegetables? I always stress it so much for DD but I eat next to none most days myself. I am a horrible example and I badly need to shape up.

  • I eat a lot of really healthy food. Most of the meals I make are very well rounded. My problem is that I also like dessert, which means I am also well rounded!

  • DH is much better at this than me. I rarely eat fruit but I have veggies just about every day.

    Compared to how I was raised that is good!

  • I have fruit several times per day. I try to eat veggies at least once per day. This usually comes in the form of a salad. Since I try to make L eat fruit and veggies daily, I usually get some then as well!

  • Fruit is not a problem for me. It's veggies that I have a hard time with. Not that I don't like them, fruit is just easier

  • I'm so glad you posted this!! I also obsess about how much fruit and veg K gets so she gets them at every meal. Now me, I used to literally live on fruit and veggies. Now I don't and when I try to think why it's just lack of time I guess. I don't have the time to make myself a healthy salad and then spend 20 minutes eating it ( ya now it takes time to chew it...) so I usually gulp something down while chasing her... Not good! Need to work on that!
  • I have celery and carrots as my morning snack.  We also have at least 1 veggie for dinner.  I have been eating salads lately so I have been getting plenty of veggies in.  I eat an apple or some grapes every day and I drink a V8 fusion energy drink that has some fruit in it.  I need to eat more fruit but I don't.

  • I would say monitoring DS's diet has helped me with this a whole lot. I certainly need some more improvement but, I am getting there.

  • I make a fruit salad every day for DH, Skyler and I.  So it's at least a cup and half of fruit daily for me.  I make veggies with dinner pretty much daily but not always and I eat so many different things for lunch sometimes I have veggies and other times I don't.

  • I'm on Weight Watchers so a big part of my meals are fruit and veggies.

  • Since I've started SAH, I've been a lot better. I usually eat whatever I'm making for Aria, since I don't want to make multiple dishes. I always make sure she has at least one type of fruit and/or veggie with her breakfast and lunch, so I'm eating them more too. Dinner has always been heavy with veggies.

  • I love veggies, so always eat a ton.  I eat less fruit.  I like it, but don't think of it as my main meal, so don't always eat it.  We have a ton around because Lucia loves it, so that is making me a little better, but she eats a lot more than I do.

  • I love broccoli, bell peppers and salad. I don't love a lot of fruit, my sweet tooth is not strong!

  • I'm great at eating fruits and vegetables. I'm terrible at eating protein though. I like meat but I don't care for it much. I don't like eggs, milk, or fish. Luckily, DH likes everything.
