I'm just giving him cards from myself and DS so no real gift. But I asked H what he wanted to do and he wants to spend the day in the city so that's what we're doing!

Maybe you can go out somewhere special as a family?

For years DH has been talking about wanting a coffee maker that grinds fresh beans automatically. Our regular coffee machine finally died. So I got him his dream coffee maker and a cute card from DS.

I got DH a Life is good t-shirt(dad related) and a travel coffee mug with the kids pictures on it from Shutterfly for work.

I would make a special day for him. Get him a card, take him out to eat, and maybe plan a special outing for you to do as a family.

DS is actually spending the weekend with grandma and grandpa. DH and I are going kayaking tomorrow and golfing Sunday morning. We don't really do physical gifts. I can't wait. The weather is supposed to be great.

My husband is a HUGE Star Wars fan so I found a shirt for him on etsy that says Big Jedi and then there's a onesie that comes with it for DD that says Lil' Jedi

I got DH a bbq, I gave it to him early so he could use it at DS'S Bday party. The gift from DS is a ceramic hand plate and a card with a dinosaur on it....it's sort of a joke we have. There is a show called "Denver the last Dinosaur" that we use to both watch as kids. We call our son Vincent the last Dinosaur as a joke hehe

we are going on a four day "mini" trip to the shore for fathers day. the weather is looking great and i am super excited to spend time with the family on the beach.

I got him a grilling cookbook and a cheesy plaque.  He bought himself some wacom tablet thing for the computer.

I got DH a shirt that said v 1.0 and DS a shirt that said v 2.0 and some robot family stickers for his car. He's a huge tech geek so he really liked it.

You guys are adorable! So many good ideas. I wound up writing him a sweet card and a name ring with our DD's name on it. It takes a while to come but I think it is nice for his first official fathers day. Thank you so much for all your input!
