Dylan & Cassidy are giving me a really hard time getting all 4 bottles in a day. ?They eat 3 meals really well (people food, not baby food). I called the pedi and he said we could go down to 3 bottles. ?If we do 3 boottles, when do they happen? ?7am and 7pm, but when does the other bottle happen? UGH...just when i had things down to a science it's changing. ?Also, they take naps at 9am and 1pm. ?I might have to shift the afternoon nap, huh? TIA
Re: 3 bottles a day?
i know, this is getting hard!
the boys are also eating three good meals a day, and i'm dropping bottles too. here's what i'm doing (along with daycare's help...)
they were getting:
8:00 bottle and breakfast
12:00 bottle and lunch
3:00 bottle
5:00 bottle and dinner
6:30 bottle
and this is what we're transitioning to, over the next few weeks:
8:00 bottle and breakfast
12:00 sippy of milk and lunch
3:00 bottle
5:00 sippy of milk and dinner
6:30 bottle
right now, the bottles are pretty small (they take maybe 4-6 oz of the daytime ones, but they'll finish 8 oz of the bedtime one.) maybe next week, we'll see about dropping the 3:00 bottle and making that milk or something. i'm not sure. i want them to be off bottles by 1 year (and the ped is okay with that. i know your twins were more premature, so i'm not sure when your timeframe for dropping them altogether is.)

My blog * We made the national news!
Here is what we did at 1 year since your babies are almost there:)
7am- bottle & breakfast
9:45am (or when they wake up)-snack & juice(2oz juice/3oz water)
12pm-bottle & lunch
2:30pm(or when they wake up)-snack & juice
4:30pm-snack
5:30-6pm-bottle & dinner
I have to say that at 1 year we took away their bottles so they drink their milk out of sippy cups. Also at 1 year, we no longer gave a bottle at bedtime.
6:30pm-bath
7pm-bed
