I am not sure if my experience is what you are talking about but here goes.
When I had the ultrasound to measure the baby and such (20 weeks? I forget), they found white spots (I forgot where exactly) and my OB later told me that generally meant (and I use that loosely) that something was wrong with the baby but not always so not to worry about it because all my blood tests came back fine. Well, when my daughter was born, she was born with a heart murmur, cleft palate, her ear canals were practically closed so she could not hear and they thought she had downs syndrom (apparently she had physical markers so the doctors wanted to do more testing). After all of the testing, the results came back that she did not have downs syndrom.
Yes, I did. And my ob told me that by itself it doesn't mean anything. But they have to tell you because many Down's babies have one. But Downs babies also have a bunch of other signs. My son is 4 now, no issues,
