Getting the Phleghm up

in Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months
DS has had a cough for a few days. All you hear is the phlegm. There was one time when some spit out because he was crying. Other than that, I imagine he is just reswallowing. Any suggestions besides vaporizer,liquids,etc.?

    Steam him in the bathroom.  Let the hot water run in the shower and sink with the door closed for a few minutes, grab a couple of toys, and take him in there for 10ish minutes (I usually call 'er quits when I see LO's starting to prespire).  That should help get things moving.

    This is what we do, it helps so much. 

    Thanks, just tried this. Not sure that we made it 10 min. but I figure something is better than nothing.
