Was there also a MMR vaccine that day? I know this one has a delayed reaction of 7-10 days. His symptoms sound a lot like DD's from the MMR.
This. DD had a wicked reaction to the MMR- fever, rash, general crankiness. It subsided within a few days. Call the pedi and speak to a nurse if you're concerned.
Hmm. He had another shot that day. I believe it was a combo shot, and that it started with a P, but I can't remember. Stupid mommy brain. I will probably call today.

Generally they do the MMR and the chicken pox one on the same visit. It' s normally the MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) that causes reactions. DD's rash is almost gone. It started as a smattering of little red dots and then they seems to spread everywhere but her legs. Many of them doubled in the diameter. She had the rash about 3 days, no fever though. DS didn't seem to react much to it. He might have had a low fever, but no rash and we even separated the MMR from the chicken pox both times since having them together is when the majority had the more severe reactions.
