Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Re: (Untitled)

  • Sounds normal i think. Ds isn't a tatrum kinda boy but he does have his moments and mostly i just let him have a fit or whatever and i say in a whatever type of voice " this attitude isnt helping your.cause" i feel more like a big reaction to him is attention so he will.take it. It has worked for us. Also as far as teething goes bs acts different with every tooth. These mollars have been a nightmare! !! Almost 5 months and still nothing.

  • It's probably just a phase.  Our DD has always been a very easy kid.  A couple months back she had like 1-2 weeks of tantrums!  It was a bit shocking and worrisome, but it quickly went away.   Now that she's almost 2, we see very few tantrums.  We can pretty much predict what's going to cause one....taking away something she shouldn't have, not allowing her to play with the neighbor kids, and not understanding what she's trying to tell us.  We try to talk to her first or redirect, if that doesn't work and the tantrum escalates, we usually walk away and ignore her.  She has quickly figured out that flopping around on the floor and screaming won't get her any attention.
