Re: (Untitled)

  • I like Violet Claire way more. Rosie is way to cutesy and I just don't like Clementine for a name, I just find it weird. I dunno, that's just me. But Violet is beautiful for a little girl and it ages well.

  • I love Violet Claire.  It is a sweet name without being cutesy the way Rosie Clementine is.

  • I like Rose better than Violet, but I get why you don't want to use just Rose.

What about Rosalie, Roslyn, Rosemary or Rosalind as a formal name and Rosie as a NN.

  • Based on your "issues" it seems like you like Violet Claire best.
  • I like Rosie Clementine. Sounds darling to me! Sam and Rosie is a good sibset. If you want to give Rosie a more formal name wo using Rose I like Roslyn.

  • Love your ds name.. awesome.    I think Violet Claire is gorgeous.  There are a couple reason I don't care for Rosie Clementine as much  1. I think its sounds like you are describing an object with two word names together.  2. I think its really sweet and considerate that you are trying to be sensitive about someone losing a Rose but honestly to me its not different enough-- all Roses I know are called Rosie anyway.   3. Rosie is way too cutesy I agree

  • I like Violet Claire. It flows much better than Rosie Clementine, IMO. I like Rosie and Clementine individually but I'm not sure that I like them together. If you like Rose maybe you could use Clementine Rose but I understand your hesitation, given your friend's loss.

  • I prefer Violet. I agree with pp with using a more formal name like Rosalind or similar and call her Rosie.

If it was Rosalie, I would vote for that in a heartbeat (so very pretty and not overused), but since Rosie is a nickname in my opinion, I vote for Violet.

  • I much prefer Violet Claire for several reasons.  I do not like Clementine at all.  Rosie seems like a nn and not a formal name.  It sounds too cutesy and will not age well.  Violet Claire pairs better with Samuel Grey IMO.

I didn't even think of Rosalie. Rosalie Clementine is very sweet.

Thanks ladies, I appreciate all the input.
