I think the person that doesn't want kids/more kids wins, at least in my marriage. Now, I don't have the age factor, I am a pretty young mom. But, I wanted to TTC at 6 months PP with DD1, but DH didn't want to, so I had to compromise. I was finally able to convince him at 16 months PP.

It's all about compromise. And letting him know fully more (that is if he doesn't) about TTC, like the fact that it can take up to a year, and after 35 the chances of conceiving decrease and m/c increase. I would sit him down and let him know why you want to, and hear fully why he doesn't want to, and the importance to each of you for either side of the debate.

I have been with my hubby for 7 1/2 yrs and married 2 next month.  I did not want to have kids later in life ( I am 39 hubby 41)  It took hubby a bit to become ready since he has to have the $$$ factor all set.  Everyone kept saying it will work out.  I told myself I wanted kids by 40.  We  have Autism and Downs in our families.  

Found out I was pregnant in Dec at 38 was super excited, well MC in Feb.  Now ttc again but not sure when it will happen.  I am excepting that I will be older.  I so want a child that I am ok with being a bit older, now I am giving myself til 42.  

It is hard and you really have to have a serious talk to discuss.  I know it can be so hard.
