We have just been giving DS whatever we are eating (as long as it's not spicy).  I'm not much help since son LOVES all foods but I've read a lot of stories where there was success w/BLW.  You could always read up about it and see if it works for you.

  • I'd just give her table food and let her feed herself and see how she does.

E is currently obsessed with peas. I think it's a game for him to pick them up and eat them.

You could try different shapes and sizes to see what he can handle best. Some ideas: Maybe spears of sweet potato, toast "fingers," peas, cubes of melon...

  • I'm not going to be much help, but I wanted to chime in and say my LO is not a good eater either. When we introduced solids, she loved all of it. Then, when it was time for introducing Stage 2 pur?es, she became selective and decided all vegetables tasted like ish. So, I have to mix her fruit with a vegetable just to get her to eat it. We're working on Stage 3 pur?es now. She does not like the dinner meals. The texture makes her gag (which often results in a vomiting session). So, for now I'm only giving fruits and veggies mixed together. I continue to offer more textured foods, depending on what we're having for supper. If she refuses, I just let it be. Sounds to me though that your LO is ready for self-feeding. Give it a try! It can't hurt.
