I have the girls make cards.  I am also happy to take them shopping, and sometimes do, for him.  Usually they get him a golf shirt.  I dropped the ball this year too as DD is at sleep away camp this week and we don't have time to shop before they are with him - so this year will be an involved card making process.

I don't do anything for XH -- he gets a little project DS makes at preschool, but that's it. The way I see it, DS will be making Mother's Day/Father's Day projects at school for the next several years, so that can be his gift to XH.

My DH makes sure Mother's Day is celebrated in our house and XH's GF can do the same for Father's Day for him above and beyond what DS makes for him at school.

I usually take my DD shopping to pick something out for my ex-h. I give her a spending limit, which is comprable to what I get for Mother's Day, which happpend to be a $15 gc to jamba juice this year. Then she will pick out a card and that is pretty much it. I don't do anything elaborate, or time consuming.
