I went for my 36 week ultrasound today and the baby is measuring 6.13 give or take a pound per the tech. But she find mention I may have low fluid. How serious can that be? And should I be concerned? Otherwise he looked good and was even practicing breathing.
Re: 36 week ultrasound
Low fluid can be serious or not. Did your doctor give you any more info? I've seen women on here be advised to drink a ton...like more than you think is possible...for a number of days and go back and get checked again.
But I would call my doctor and ask and also ask what the fluid level was. I mean "you may have low fluid" is very vague and I'm surprised you were told that without more info, so if I were you I'd be calling.
If it was super super low you'd be in L & D. If it was low enough to be a concern, then my guess (hope) would be you were given some instructions as to what to do and when to do it/come back.
Depends on how low the number is.
I'd be irked it took over 2 hours to be told to go to L & D
What all did they suggest you try?
this happend to me with dd and i was induced the same night.. im guessing thats what they are doing. i was told to go right to labour and del after my us too. good luck with everything and keep us posted.
My guess is they didn't measure all the pockets of fluid.
