Hi Everyone - I'm currently trying to get preg, and our plan is to have one and be done. I'm so glad to have found this board - most people want more than one, so we feel a little odd even with our friends saying that we only want to have one child. We both work, we can't afford a bigger house, my husband is older than me by 15 years, we can only afford day care for one child, we can only afford to save for college for one child ... I feel like some people thing we're being heartless or silly, but I think we're being really responsible and thinking ahead about what is really important to us. (i.e. travel, saving for college, affording a reasonable sized house for our family) I'm sure this is all too familiar on this board, but it's nice to find some like-minded women out there!
