I love the names Grace and Kylar for a girl. Our dogs name is Gracie though so would that be weird? And I was thinking Grace LeEllenmoms name or Kylar Jo. Any suggestions on which or other name or middle name ideas?
My parents have a dog named Eli. DS is Elijah. I wouldn't let it stop me if I loved the name. I would save the boy names for if you have a boy. Kylar isn't even unisex, it's a boy name.
Honestly I don't like Kylar on a boy or girl. Grace is such a classic pretty name and 100x better than Kylar. Plan on living with your mom for awhile? I feel like naming her after the family dog could lead to therapy down the road... Back to the drawing board?
These are nice suggestions! I don't really like Kylar that much, but I'll say that I know of one in real life and it's a girl, not a boy. I had no idea it was a boy name.
I wouldn't do Grace in the first name spot if you have a dog named Gracie.
Grace for sure! The dog thing doesn't bother me at all and I'm surprised it is to others. Dogs die.
My sister actually worked with a girl that purposely named her son after her dad's best dog, but she was really country :
Kylar...what??? Why would you want to give a sweet little girl a boy's name? Why don't you name her Bruce or *** or Walter if you "like boys' names on girls."? Give me a break. You just want something "cutesy" which is why so many girls are getting stuck with stupid boys' names, and the boys' parents are steering away from completely awesome names because parents of girls are using them.

Well it's not my dog, but my moms. I'm staying with her right now though. And I like boy names on girls. Lol.
How long will you be staying with her? Do you plan to live close by? I wouldn't name your baby a name that is currently being used by ANY family members' dog

Grace is a lovely name, but wouldn't it be confusing that your dog's name is Gracie? And the name Kylar is 100% boy.
Suggestions: Hannah, Nora, Aurora, Avalon, Willa, Eden, Eloise, Harlow, Veronica, Wren

Grace is boring and overused. UGH.
