Speaking of big babies...

Csection is this Friday. He will be delivered at 36 weeks. At my growth scan last week they estimates he was 5 pounds 10 oz. I went and looked at premie clothes over the weekend to see if I should maybe get at least one outfit. I decided against it because using their estimates he should be okay in NB. But reading BTDT comments about how off their estimates were have me second guessing myself. WWYD, go get at least one premie outfit or stick with my NB choice?

Maybe a few at second hand baby store but they grow so fast. I have few premie outfits from a friend second hand. Some 0-3 months but because I have big babies I have mostly 3-6 months.

 DD was 8 lbs 13 oz which is right on the border between newborn and 0-3 clothes. I had mostly 0-3 for her and while some stuff was a little large, they were fine.

My firstborn left the hospital at 6 pounds.  The newborn stuff I had was too big so he was stuck in the plain white shirts the hospital provided.  Glad they had them, but not so cute for pics.  So like a few others suggested try getting a couple of preemie clothes second hand just in case.

DD was 9lbs even at birth. She wore nb until 2 months old. Her weight was all in her head with some in her length. Her shoulders were always too small fit the sleepers right.

Also remember that LO will likely loss a bit of weight right after birth.

I would get more premie outfits. Both my boys were close to 7 lbs and they were in premie for a bit...at least a month.

If you already have newborn clothes I would stick with that. You will likely have baby swaddled most of the time in the beginning anyway so it won't matter how cute or slightly large the outfit underneath is.
