Hello! Or "Letters From the Warworn"

Hi Peeps!

Just wanted to say we are still here! It has been a tiresome couple weeks and I thought I'd check in. I see a lot of new faces yay! and lots of ups and downs of conception. Hugs to those with challenges.

We are in our own little challenging place. My DW went in for her prejourney checkup and was found to have a fibroid. So tomorrow she is going to have that looked at and removed. I'm a little sad for her, that we might have trouble making her first "in belly" baby, but also glad we are starting now.

In other news, we are hoping to close on our first house soon! Might move around July 1. Yippee!

And the boy is the most darling joy. His big sister loves him. But he does have terrible reflux. We don't want to medicate, not that the doc has suggested this yet, so we are trying all the mitigating efforts. So far it seems to be working. He weighted 13 lbs 10 oz on Saturday!

Okay, that's all the news. I'll drop in tomorrow to give you all a surgery update.

"Things separate from their stories have no meaning. They are only shapes. Of a certain size and color. A certain weight. When their meaning has become lost to us they no longer have even a name. The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing

  • Congrats on buying your first home! This May was our 1 year anniversary being home owners. It feels really good.

Sorry to hear your LO is having reflux issues. Our LO does as well. We tried everything to try not to give meds, in the end, the meds worked for us. We hope to get him off of them as soon as possible. His pediatrician keeps telling us he will grow out of it.

    Good luck with the surgery!
