12 week spurt

Anyone else's baby going through that awful growth spurt? Our dd was sleeping so much better then whammo! Up every hour the last couple nights. How long do your lo last on these spurts and will she get back to sleeping at night again!?

Re: 12 week spurt

  • Ugh yes! My son was only waking once overnight but for the past week he's been waking three times! He also seems to want to eat every two and a half to three hours. Though I am glad that he is growing, I cannot wait for this spurt to be over!
  • I think we're just finishing our 12 week spurt now.  Seemed to start on Friday, and wrapped up this morning, according to DH (he stays home with her while I work).

Her night time sleep wasn't affected (thank GOD!), but she lost her appetite a little bit, and just wanted to be held constantly and was just fussy in general.  We also noticed that she is starting to get teeth, which might have something to do with the appetite.

  • Yes! Even though he won't be 12 weeks till Thursday. He was 10 days late and tends to hit his growth spurts early. I think we are wrapping up as well bc we are back to 3 to 3.5 hours between feeding at night instead of 1.5 to 2. He's still a little needy and sleepy though.

  • I'm pretty sure my LO had hers last week. She was fussier than normal and eating way more. This week she has started being able to be up more, and has upped the amount of formula she has at a feed. She got up twice during two different nights but for the most part STTN.
