Daniel's middle name...

My husband and I came to an agreement that I could pick first names, as long as he got to pick middle names. Oh dear, what did I get into?

For a boy, we both are pretty set on picking Daniel (don't know what we're having yet). Danny's middle name is narrowed down to three choices, courtesy of my husband:

Daniel Montgomery
Daniel Cash
Daniel Sawyer

I'm not particularly wild about any of them, but we did make a deal. They're alright I suppose. My husband loves "Southern" names. I guess I like Daniel Sawyer the best. What does everyone else think?

I hate Cash...

Sawyer is the best IMO but Montgomery isn't too bad - sounds like an attempt at putting a maiden names as the middle name.

I think i'd agree with your choice. I really REALLY dislike Cash but I would just hope that if someone did use that as a MN it was because they are a huge Johnny Cash fan. 

If I wasn't set on using family names for MNs, I probably would have made the same deal you did if H suggested it!

Haha, you nailed it. DH likes himself some Johnny Cash. Cash is my least favorite name on the list too. I also prefer using family names as middle names, but DH doesn't really see the need.

I love the name Daniel. I guess I would say Daniel Sawyer is my favorite. Good luck.

I think that you should pick a name that you both love. Start over and choose one together. Dont settle for a name you don't like simply bc you made a deal.

I love Sawyer as well, but IMO Daniel Sawyer doesn't go well.

Daniel is NMS, but I do love the names Cash and Sawyer. I'd probably end up going with Cash Daniel or Sawyer Daniel.

Not sure making a deal is the best way to name a child. Daniel is a great name. The middle name options aren't my style at all. Any other southern names he likes? What about Daniel Beau?

I agree with this. I don't really care for any of the middle names but Montgomery isn't too bad. I do think both parents should like the name.
