Shidu - death of an only child

I know this comes up a lot and I realize it is a sensitive subject, but I found this article really interesting so thought I would share.  While some of us are choosing to have one child so we can save for our retirement (among other things), in China where the one child policy is enforced the death of an only child can be crippling economically for parents.  I can't imagine the emotional turmoil around my child dying combined with these financial repercussions.
