Itchy scalp!!

My scalp is on fire. I googled this, and apparently it is indeed a pregnancy symptom. I can't stop itching it, and I think I've itched it so much that it's made the skin tender, so now itching it actually is a bit painful, but I cannot. stop. doing. it!

Gaaaaaahgghghg! 

At least having such a strong symptom is helping my PGAL brain, considering my breast pain and nip sensitivity has plummeted lately, bleh. My kingdom for a sore nip in exchange for this itchy scalp! Crying

    Try some head and shoulders. Hopefully that calms down the itch. Too when my scalp itches I find that putting my hair in a very tight ponytail helps alleviate the itch

    Me too! I was scared to use dandruff shampoo, so I added a few drops of tea tree oil to my shampoo and that seems to be helping.

Not trying or preventing since then - we'd given up hope and moved on with our lives. Signed up for classes to go back to school and become an MD - surprise pregnancy!

    Thanks for the tea tree oil idea, I just bought a new bottle of shampoo so I don't really want to go buy any dandruff shampoo, I hate the way it smells, heh.

    This is me.....thank goodness I am not the only one. I didn't think to google this as a symptom, I have been trying to figure out why the sudden change.
