Success after IF

DS is sick

He has thrown up multiple times tonight. We have tried crackers and water but he threw that up too. He is asleep now. Any suggestions on settling his tummy? I gave him gripe water and he threw that up as well. I feel so bad for him. His 2nd bday is this next weekend. Hope he gets better by then.

Re: DS is sick

  • Poor little guy! If he isn't peeing or seems lethargic call the pedi. In the meantime, you can try Pedialite for dehydration. Crackers are also good if he can keep them down. Hope he feels better soon!

  • Aww, such a bummer. DS just got over the same thing. The only liquids he could keep down were Popsicles. I just bought some all fruit Popsicles and he would eat those and keep them down. DS hates pedialyte so I just gave him Gatorade, small amounts at a time works just as well. The sickness lasted about a week but the barfing only lasted 2 days. I think he'll be better by his bday next week.

  • They make pedialyte Popsicles. My ds has liked those in the past. If not just regular pedialyte. I like the clear one so if he throws it up it doesn't stain. I know the advice nurse told me to give ds a teaspoon of liquid every 15 minutes or so. I would just try to keep his hydrated so u don't have to go to urgent care.
