Moving vent

So DH and I decided to move to a bigger place. Problem is, the place we are moving in to is not ready... STILL!!! We were supposed to move June 1st and now it might not be til the 22nd. Our landlord is being really unprofessional and not even communicating with us about it. We have been waiting all day to hear the verdict about whether or not we could move in this coming weekend, and I found out through my soon to be next door neighbor that its still not ready and the landlord still hasn't called to let us know. This weekend was the best weekend to move as we have people that can help us and my inlaws were able to come down and bring the crib, etc. now we have to wait until the 22nd which is when my local baby shower is and no one is really able to help us move. Not to mention it could cause trouble with our current apartment as they need to get it ready for the new tenants. I'm ready to pull out my hair over this and am so frustrated and wishing we hadn't decided to do this! I have all of our baby's stuff piled up on boxes etc and feel like I'm anti nesting as I'm packing and absolutely nothing is ready for her yet! I'll be 36 weeks in two weekends and was really hoping not to wait that long to be even start unpacking!!! Grr!! Anyway... Sorry to vent. I'm just frustrated and DH doesn't want to hear it as he feels slightly responsible for all this stress.

Sorry it's so long! Thanks for reading if you got this far. In happier news, I had a wonderful baby shower yesterday and have almost everything I need for baby! Now I just want to get it set up!!

How frustrating. I'm sorry, vent away! I hope the new place is ready soon so you can stop anti nesting:)

I feel for ya. My husband and I are under contract one house right now, just waiting for an official closing date. The sellers, our realtor, broker, and attorney all know we're on a deadline, and fortunately the house is move in ready so it's just a matter of setting a closing date. But who knows who long that will really take! It's overwhelming and I hate that I'm not nesting right now!

I feel your pain. We are moving two weeks after my due date!  I'm hoping the current tenant moves out early, so we can maybe get in before baby girl arrives.

I can empathize. We close on our new house on June 24, when I will be 38w5d. Cutting it close? Absolutely. It's definitely stressful, but I have a small stash ready in case our LO makes an early appearance in the next 2 weeks. Everything else is 2 hours away at my parents' house, and they will bring it up either after we get the keys to the new place or if LO comes a little early. Now if we could just find a buyer for our tiny, but adorable row home....

Ugh! I can't even imagine! We had issues closing on our house and ended up moving in during my battle with HG. T and P's your way! I hope your landlord gets his butt in gear!

thanks again for the kind thoughts, ladies. it really is frustrating having everything so up in the air! we should know more tonight... it's gonna be a LONG day. haha

We are in the same boat!!  We hope to be closing on the 21st, but you know how that goes!!  All of the baby stuff piled around on one hand makes me excited and happy but on the other stresses me out!! Here's to all of us July mommas getting settled and nested SOON!
