How often does your toddler poop?

My daughter was going every day. Is it a coincidence that literally since the day we potty trained she only goes every other day now? I think she is holding it in because they are huge and she gets little fissures almost every time, so I have to keep putting neosporin and Vaseline on her poor bum. She also has a hard time making it to the potty and tells us she has to go and sits down with no result like five times before she finally goes. Sound familiar to anyone?  

Do you think she is holding it in because of the potty, or is she just constipated? I'm scared she's scared to go on the potty because every time she has it has hurt. Or is every other day normal? Thanks.

She goes every other day.  Every once in a while it's every day, but usually every other.  She was like that before potty training and now.

When DD was in diapers she went every day.  When she potty trained it turned into every other day or once every three days.  She would complain that her hip hurt and say she had to poop, sit on the potty and not go.  It took her a few weeks but now she's going pretty much every day again.  I think they just have to get used to it.

DD goes every other day.  She was like that before she potty trained.  While we were potty training, she had poop issues - trying to hold it in, so she would go every 2 or 3 days.  Now that she's fully trained, we're back to every other day.

DDs an every other dayer, but was when she was in diapers, too.

My DD still goes twice a day. She poop trained herself with the potty; she didn't like pooping in a diaper anymore. So, she didn't have any issues with constipation once we fully PT'd.

She did develop a yeast infection about a month ago and the pedi was concerned about a UTI. She said that most girls get constipated after PTing, which can often lead to UTIs. I'd call your pedi to talk to them about it and ask for recs on how to make it easier for her.

He poops once or twice a day and that hasn't changed since PTing. We just potty trained a few weeks ago and he's got a 50% success rate for poop. But rather than holding it, he'll go on the floor (if I don't catch him) or wait until nap and then poop in his diaper.

My son isn't potty trained yet, but he is very irregular.  Sometimes he'll go twice in one day, other times not for a day or more.  And he almost always bleeds.  It's awful.

I don't think going every other day is abnormal.  I think it's abnormal when it's not regular at all.
