My bub is 1 year old. I never tried CIO - I wasn't too strong for it.
My bub wakes a couple of times in the night. I / his daddy can put him back to sleep by rocking him and he doesn't ask for milk....but he can't seem to put him back to sleep by himself..
Is CIO the only option for me ?
Thanks
Re: Not sleeping through the nights.
If you don't want to do that, here's some thoughts:
Does he use a paci? I keep a bunch in the crib so my DS can reach for one himself at night.
Also does he have a lovie? My DS has been using a lovie for months now and it helps comfort him.
The fisher price seahorse also helped DS sleep better. Maybe you could try something like that?
DD doesn't sttn. She's done it a handful of times but that's it. We don't sleep train either.
The way I see it - once you're a parent you never really get the same amount of sleep anyway so it's not a big deal for me, but do what's right for you.

Maybe start by trying to not take him out of his crib to rock him. Instead, Maybe try patting his butt or rubbing his back. My DS actually likes when I rock his butt back and forth (if tha makes sense!)
see how that goes for a little to help him know he doesn't need to. Come Out every time?

Thanks Ladies...But we have tried many of these options...
trying to pat him first before picking him up right away...
try to co-sleep..
i dont mind waking up 1 / 2 times... but every 2 hours to just put him back to sleep gets me tired !
