We go through USAA and their customer is wonderful. We've never changed insurance companies before and wouldn't switch for just rates. We have many products through them and it's easy to manage.

How did you first start with them?
Your need to be in the military or have a family member that served. They are local here and amazing. I would go with them in a heartbeat.
I was just wondering because she said "we've never changed insurance companies" and so I'm wondering if this is who she's had since she's been 16 and started to drive, if so, how did you choose that company. Was it a "that's what my parents had" type situation or what made you try a certain company?
We both had family members in the services and had it since we started to drive. We've always had good experiences and never had a desire to change. Obviously it's what our parents had, but we would have switched if we were unhappy.
If you could give them constructive criticism what would it be?
Do you change insurance just based on rates alone?
We get our auto online through one of the giants. Price was the number one consideration, but there is a collision center near us that we know does good work, and our experiences with their customer service has been positive. Compare that to our cable company who I would drop in a heartbeat if there were any other good options due to their awful service, or my health insurance I get through work, which I hate for being a maze and mess.
We don't own a home, and have decided renter's insurance is a bad bet for us based on our region. Theft would be the biggest risk, adn most of our stuff is garbage anyways.
I price out life insurance and had a meeting with a potential agent. I hated her because she wasted my time asking too many useless questions. Ultimately I just wanted a quote, and for that price was king. I decided none of the options were worth it though.
-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.
