Hi ladies. I have been running for almost a year and really enjoy it. I saw this 5k and it looks like fun. anyone do it? Also I am pregnant. Do you think the paint can be harmful in any way?
You?re probably asking yourself, Is this really color being thrown at me or are the rainbows I'm seeing just a sign from God that the earth will never flood again?
Well I?m glad you asked. This isn?t just smoke and mirrors. This is non-toxic, non-rash-inducing, Kroger branded, colored corn-starch. Subsidized by the government and processed in the good ol? US of A, these blasts of starch will change your color, and your demeanor, but never your level of wellness.
I did a color run last weekend with my 7 yo. The "paint" is colored cornstarch, so it is totally safe to the body. Unless you have any prior breathing problems, the powder is totally safe.
I agree with the PP about hydrating and walking if needed. We walked the race a lot. It really is not an even to shoot for time because there was a lot of walkers.
This might be the best "race" to do when pregnant because it's not really a race. When I did The Color Run last year, no one ran. It was more like a light jog, walking through the color areas.
Re: Color Me Rad
They just use colored cornstarch. Its not actually paint. So it should be perfectly safe during pregnancy.
This is from their FAQ page:
What is the ?color? in Color Me Rad?
