High FSH, High AMH, High AFC

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. Nice to "meet" everyone.  My day 3 FSH test yesterday was 11.4, which according to the nurse (and my Google research)  is considered high. It's my understanding that the day 3 FSH is supposed to predict one's ovarian reserve - high number = diminished ovarian reserve. My antral follicle count on the same day was 48 - 24 on each ovary. My AMH level in January was 8.9 ng/mL. I do have PCOS. Does anyone know why the day 3 FSH is so high when the ovarian reserve is clearly not diminished or is there something else I should now worry about?

Me:PCOS, fibroids DH: no issues 
TTC for 3 years. IVF #1 in Jan 12 - severe OHSS; miscarriage at 11 weeks
2 myomectomies and 6 hysteroscopies in 2012 and 2013.
FET in Aug 2013 BFP

    Welcome! First thought I had was pcos, so when you mentioned it made sense. I am not an expert but that seems the culprit.Good luck!

    You may want to try the Infertility board as this one is geared toward longtime posters from that board. It's the best place to get a full spectrum of responses, IFVers and IFers alike.
