What kind are your Lo's using? We have the soothie by agent and then the gum drops but he doesn't always keep them in his mouth. My cousin gave me a few by avent that remind me of the mam for 06 mo and he seems to keep that in longer.

I al not a fan of pacifers, and I will do whatever I have to to make sure that my Lo isn't using one by 1 yr. But I'd rather take that away then have a finger sucker.

Us too! I just bought more MAMs the other day and put away the soothie and gumdrops. Every baby is different, but he loves and can hold those in the best.

I don't know what Gumdrops are but, if LO has been using a Soothie by Avent, I was going to suggest getting a WubbaNub.

Their website has links to online stores where you can find them if you can't find them in stores near you. Many of those sites have them on sale right now. I only know this because I was looking them up yesterday. My LO will occasionally take a Soothie but it doesn't stay in for long. I prefer the Soothie to other brands because of how they're made. After getting water stuck in parts of a different pacifier we were trying to use, we switched and won't go back.

LO uses the Soothie by Children's Medical Ventures. It's the one we got from the hospital and were able to also find at wal-mart.

Ds has mostly Nuk and one soothie. He does better holding the Nuk ones in with their shape. And his OT likes both for different reasons or purposes.

DD prefers the Nuk and keeps them in her mouth longer/better than the Avent and Dr. Brown ones we have.

My dd loves the Nuk. I think the soothie was to long for her when she was smaller.  She has loved the Nuk from the start

Same here. It's the only kind she will take, she just spits any other kind out.

We use Mam as well but the "mini" variety because otherwise my little guy gags on it! I totally understand not liking binkies but not wanting a finger sucker! I had a VERY hard time stopping sucking my thumb when I was little and don't want that for my son!!
