Dutch Wonderland questions

Hello!  I haven't been on this board in a long time but was hoping to get some info about Dutch Wonderland.  We want to take DS there but we're thinking he's too young.  He'll be 17 months old this month and he's a little peanut.  He weighs about 17.5 lbs, so he's not a big kid.

I see that Dutch Wonderland is free for kids under 3 and compared to Hershey Park, it's reasonably priced for adults.  Are there many rides for us to ride on with DS? I can't get a good idea of this by looking at their website.  Are there any rides that he would be able to ride by himself?  Is the water park that they have geared towards older toddlers?  I posted this on my FB page but got mixed answers about whether DS is too young to enjoy the park.  TIA.

Re: Dutch Wonderland questions

  • Both of my girls loved DW around that age.  You can ride along on almost all of the rides.  The water park has a lot of those little fountain like things that shoot a little water up and there are little slides.  There is also two big water slides that you sit in a raft so you can take little ones.
  • I took my nephew there and I think the best age is probably 3-8 for most of the rides, but there are many things that you can do with a toddler and the water area has lots of little slides and splash areas.
