f/u Face Wound

So, I took Rosie to the pedi. He barely looked at it and just said it was "self mutilation" cuz she's picking and scratching at it. He can't tell me any more than that because there is no bumps. His "suggestions" were to get an oversized sweater and sew sticks in the arms so she can't bend them or to tie knots at the end so she can't use her hands. FFS?? She's 2 (almost 3), that will not go over well. So, instead I took her to Target and let her pick out more band aids and we'll just be more vigilant.

  • I'm glad it's nothing serious but I dont blame you for not wanting to go with his suggestion, seems a little crazy to me.

    No, he was serious.

I'm not a huge fan of the pedi's around here.

I can see why! What a weirdo...

Yup. The problem is that her insurance only has 2 clinics around here that accept them. Both of them kind of suck. Stupid military insurance.... ugh!! We can't go to the naval hospital to go to the good pedi's either since my dependents card is expired.

  • Those are weird suggestions. What about New-Skin? It's a liquid bandage. I don't know if there is an age minimum.

Is your pedi 90 years old? WTH.

New skin was amazing for my blistered feet. It really burns going on though so I don't know about on a toddlers face.

I haven't used it in a long time. Burning on the face wouldn't be good. I retract my suggestion.

I only know because I let my son help paint it on last week and had to stop myself from accidently kicking him. It really stung
