30 Day Shred or Ripped in 30

If you've done both/either, which one do you recommend? Do either require more than a mat and hand weights? I've been reading reviews and they both sound great and are short enough that I know I'll be able to fit them in, but I wonder if one might be more well suited for a post-partum workout. Any insight is appreciated!

If it makes a difference, I'm in ok shape right now.  I haven't been totally sedentary, I've been jogging 2.5 miles a few times a week and doing yoga for the past few weeks. But I definitely need something to tone me up, especially the belly bulge!

Re: 30 Day Shred or Ripped in 30

  • I've been doing Ripped in 30 occasionally this preganancy, although I skip some of the ab exercises now. I'm running much slower now, and like to use the time I have to get in the mileage while I still can.

I was doing it regularly for about a year before I got pregnant, and really think it helped improve my running. I've never done the Shred, so I can't really compare the two though.

I've done both and they both are great but ripped in 30 is a lot more intense than 30 day shred

I would start with 30 day shred.  Ripped in 30 has some crazy push up moves that I wouldn't have been prepared for pp without doing 30 day shred first.  They are in the later weeks, but I don't think a couple weeks adequately prepares you.  I did 30 DS followed by body revolution to lose the baby weight with my first.  Love Jillian workouts!
