Winter coats??

This goes off my last post.... Am I the only one who didn't put one on lo this winter unless we were going out to play? I've always heard they are super dangerous in car seats so my kids wear at most a fleece jacket and then a car seat cover or blanket. Not flaming those of you who do use winter jackets just wondering.

I used a car seat suit. Very warm like a snow suit but made for a car seat. It gets really cold here though.

We used a thin fleece coat and a blanket. It was still a pain to put on since A is a wiggler and she hated putting it on before leaving the house. I wouldn't put her in anything thicker because of the car seat issue.

I didn't ever put a coat on her when we put her in the car seat. We would take a coat in the car and put her in the fleece Bundle Bag we were given at our baby shower. Best. Thing. Ever. It's like a Bundle Me but has a snap off panel on the back so it can be used in the car seat, stroller, I was even able to adapt it to our Snugli. It was a warm fleece and was able to zip right up so she was warm. That was enough. Sometimes I felt like the odd mom out at daycare showing up with her not already in her coat, but I felt it was more than warm enough since on a couple occasions I'd take her out and she was a little sweaty. I probably put her in an actual coat twice to go outside, otherwise, sweaters and the bundle bag; and I live in Canada lol.

We didn't even own a winter coat.  The most I did was long sleeves and a fleece pullover.  We live in SC so it never really got that cold.  We never hung out outside much so I figured the few feet between the car and our destination were not a big deal.

We only used a fleece hoodie with mittens and an extra hat if it was really cold.  We threw a blanket over her to carry her in and out.  We always warmed the car up first too.  I have seen those scary videos too many times and didn't want to take a chance with a thicker coat.

We didn't use a big heavy winter coat, just a light fleece lined jacket and a blanket over him in the car.

We didn't own a coat for DS. He always had on long sleeves and was in the infant car seat most of winter with a blanket and a bundle me.

We put a light sweatshirt on him a couple times too and he was sweating when we got to where we were going.
