Thinking about getting IUD removed

I have had the Mirena IUD for just under 2 years and my husband and I are talking about having another baby. I want to make an attempt at planning a summer baby due to my job at a school. I know there are no guarantees of course. How long after removal did menstrual cycles return to normal?

I didn't have an IUD but I was on BCP. I ovulated my first cycle, but not until CD40. I then had 2 annovulatory cycles that were very long. I'm now on my 4th cycle and I would finally consider it normal, O'd on CD 15. It's been almost 8 months since going off BC.

It really is different for everyone, some people start having normal cycles right away. But it is not uncommon to take a few months.

I got my Mirena IUD taken out 3 cycles ago. I'm still not quite what I'd call normal. I had my period every 28 days on the dot while i was on it and I even ovulated on it. I'm sorry im not much help but I will say that I'm glad I got it taken out. I had a TON of terrible symptoms on it for the full 3 years it was in.

I got my mirena out and was pregnant 4 weeks later. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, but I don't think it was related. Then pregnant again right after that with my now 2 month old.

I had mine for around 20 months. Had it removed mid-August, got a period within a week. DH and I waited to TTC until late September (we got married in mid-September), I had my second post IUD period at the end of September and got pregnant the very next cycle. Our beautiful, healthy DD is almost a year old.

After getting mine removed, my period started 3 weeks later and my cycles have been regular since. My doctor did tell me to wait a cycle before trying though.

Removed in August, crazy cycles until November. BFP in December.

I had mine taken out and my doc was adamant that we could get pregnant right away. We tried one month and then decided to wait. We haven't tried again, but AF is still a bit long since I took it out. It's been almost three months.
