Party activity help!

DS birthday party is coming up! We're having it at a restaurant in the patio enclosed. We just have a 2 hour limit which is enough time to eat, chat, etc. But I also wanted to setup an activity or project for the kids to do after lunch. There will be 15 kids and age range is 18 mo 8 yrs old. What are some fun, easy, and inexpensive activities or projects or activities ideas?

Re: Party activity help!

  • At my nephew's 4th birthday they made a giant card (like 2 poster boards) and all the kids got to color on it, there were stickers too - since you have older kids you could have some safe scissors, glue, and construction paper too.  They put out some regular paper too so they could color or make their own too.

  • How about hiring a balloon guy and having some coloring books out...kids love the balloon shapes. Or face painting?

This is a great idea. And it takes the pressure off you to get the activity going and making sure every kid is happy.

  • I am doing stations and a highly structured schedule.. Stations are bubbles, pool/ ball pit for the babies, crafts and frizbees for the older ones. My schedule 12 to 1 is food, 1 to 2 is games, 2 to 230 cake and 230 to 3 is presents, then it's ADIOS! If people stay longer that's great but I am not entertaining
