I thought that a small business had to have a certain number of employees before it would be required to provide insurance to employees, but some of the posts in the thread below seem to indicate otherwise. Anyone know?

Employers with less than 50 employees have these options: offer coverage through an exchange or the traditional market (same way they always have) or they can stop offering coverage and let employees buy an individual plan on or off exchange.
Employers with 50 or more employees have these options: offer coverage that meets the minimum coverage definitions and is affordable, offer some coverage that does not meet requirements and pay penalty, stop offering overage and pay penalty.
