Swamp crotch

I would say TMI, but what really is anymore. I know a lot of us are dealing with some serious swamp crotch (i.e. major sweating/funk), but has anyone figured out any magic solution? I've seriously changed my unders 3 times today.. and I hate that sweaty smell  (sorry, I'm sure you all wanted to hear that). I can't take a shower 5x/day!

So... who has the magic cure? Or at least some little hints on what worked for them?

(P.S... you know you have no shame anymore when talking to complete strangers about crap like this)

  • Swamp crotch, or Swass, as I often call it, is the worst. I change undies a lot, make sure I keep my business attended to in the waxing and trimming dept, and clean thoroughly mornings and evenings in the shower.

In the past, I've tried out the wipes that playtex makes.

I'm having the feet sweating issue, too. And for the first time ever, I have stinky armpits (had to switch from my natural deodorant to a regular one). Ahhh this is so much fun!

Raven (or others) - do you use special soap or anything? I just use regular Dove bar soap right now.

  • I have stock in panty liners I think. Baby wipes also come in handy. My underarms have been smelling worse than normal too and the baby wipes help if I need to freshen up during the day.

I do! It's in the tampon and pad section of the store. I think it's summers eve? It's just a mild, unscented soap.

  • I use dove soap on my body but my bikini line area does not moisturizing, ha! I've been using the original gold Dial soap there, drying well and using powder. I'm hoping it's helping somewhat.

  • I have no advice for ladies, but I have to share- we were out drinking with friends a few years ago and he admitted to us that he has really sweaty smelly "junk." Apparently there is something called "Fresh Balls" for men- a natural solution! lol

Your post just made me think of this conversation- I may have to try the deodorant thing- never thought of that!

  • Do you think pantyliners help? I always feel like they make me more hot/sweaty feeling, but I might be willing to give it a shot if people think they work.

And I might have to invest in some of your "Fresh Balls", Ally ;)

I always thought it was bad to use baby powder down there, I don't remember where I got that information from, so it could be a total lie, but it just doesn't seem like a good idea to me
  • As far as stinky underarms go, I have heard using an antibacterial soap like dial to wash under your arms to help kill the bacteria and help with the smell.

    HTH!

  • It's is so disgusting! I have to wear panty liners everyday bc of the discharge and since its been so hot the panty liners aren't sticking and come off all the time. It's not even summer yet, I can't imagine in 1 month

  • I have sweaty crotch too! I change underwear but also put on deodorant in the creases of where my leg meets the pelvic region does that make sense? At least my sweaty crotch smells better with it!
  • I have been using panty liners or else not only would my panties need to be changed throughout the day but so would my pants!

For those of you with stinking armpits, my mom is dealing with this with menopause.. Something to look forward to haha.. Anyways she said to spray rubbing alcohol since it will kill the bacteria which is the cause of the smell. She just keeps a little travel size stay bottle of it in her purse and applies throughout the day.

Its not...it can increase your risk of infection as well as possibly increasing your risk of ovarian cancer

There are actually feminine powders for this purpose. We use it on one of our residents at my pt job.

I spray deodorant where my legs meet my crotch if I notice it. Thankfully, I haven't had too much trouble yet, but I know its coming! We haven't had a whole lot of hot weather yet either.
