Here's my opinion (XP from TTCAL): 

I'd rather they not screw with it, for a number of reasons:

1. Last time they tried a great new makeover, it just screwed the boards, royally. After a big uproar and a mass exodus, they finally returned it to the way it was. 

2. They can't even get the features we currently have to work properly (hello error messages, screwed siggies, and the spotty ability to see others' personal pages).

3. I'm really not interested in most of the features they're adding. Notifications every time someone posts in my threads is going to get annoying. Fast. The tagging is going to change the whole dynamic of the board. If we wanted facebook, we could be on facebook. And I really don't want others to tag me. I may not want to be associated with that thread or whatever, and I certainly don't want notifications about it.

Ok, I'll stop at 3. The PMs and initial waiting period may be beneficial, but not worth the other crap I'm sure is coming with them, if the boards even work at all.

Okay, non-Facebook person and tech idiot here, but what is "tagging" and why would I want it?  And if someone replies to one of my posts I see it when I go check the post...I don't want an email or something clogging up an inbox.  Why don't they focus on getting the mobile site to work and not be a total hassle (I can't reply to posts lately on mobile, grrr) and make the main site actually work?

if they tart up the boards and make them even more annoying I think they'll have another exodus.  Seriously.

okay, that was suppose to quote the gif... Can't they fix all the mobile crap that's wrong? Why on earth can we not use hyphens and parentheses!!!! Grrrrrrrrr
