Peed myself at work

I'm mortified. I was drinking water in a meeting and it went town the wrong pipe which put me into an uncontrollable embarrassing coughing fit that sounded like I was suffocating As I was coughing I could tell pee was coming out. So now the meeting ended and I didn't want to get out of my seat which of course is camel colored so you could see if I did pee. I tried to awekwardly wait around for everyone to leave the room before i got up. I was right, I peed the seat.

Freaking out and not knowing what to do, I decided it was best to leave some papers on the chair to cover the stain and hope nobody had a meeting in the room the rest of the day. I've been too ashamed to go back and check.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has an embarrassing pregnant pee story!!!

update: I successfully stole the soiled chair without anyone seeing and I'm doing damage control in my office to try and clean it without having to involve anybody else because it's so embarrassing.

it is disgusting that you would only cover it with papers. You need to tell maintenance or scrub it yourself. Thats so unsanitary.

I had just finished my shift and felt really nauseous, so I went to the washroom and proceeded to vomit. Usually I would sit on the toilet and use a bucket to catch the puke but there was no bag in the garbage and I didn't want housekeeping cleaning up the bucket. I ended up peeing myself, enough that it left a puddle of pee on the floor through my pants. And of course I had to take a cab home. I tried to sit in a way that it wouldn't get on the seat through my pants. Horrible day!

That's really embarrassing and i too would be humiliated, but I do think you either need to find a way to clean it, or let someone know.

I would be fuming if an adult did that and left it and then I went in and sat on it, when they knowingly left it there.

Not only did I wet my pants on the way to the bathroom, I also threw up all over the floor. I was awesome. So no, you are not alone.

I peed the bed awhile ago. Luckily it wasn't enough to get down to the mattress. I woke up and when I realized, started pulling all the sheets off. Told a very sleepy DH that they smelled funny and needed to be washed right away! haha it was like 5 in the morning. He still doesn't know what happened. Just thinks I'm crazy and feel the need to clean at weird hours of the day. I still can't believe it happened. I had peed about 4 times that night already. I have no idea how there was anything left in me! I think my body was too tired to wake me up and go to the bathroom. 

 

I agree with PPs. Tell someone, or steal the chair. I would probably steal the chair and clean it myself.

(I do also think santoriello is right though about telling maintenance) - or steal the chair, hide it, bring some stuff to clean it tomorrow and then put it back.

ABSOLUTELY! I just needed a few minutes to clean myself off and try to figure out a plan to hijack the chair discretely. I literally was so caught off guard and upset I ran to the bathroom in shock for a little lol.  Yet I still held it together enough to bump about it lol.

I couldn't control my coughing, which led to me spitting water all over the ottoman in front of me, peeing my pants, and then not moving the glass cup before I coughed so hard I hit my mouth on the rim and chipped a teeny piece off my left front tooth. DH just kind of stared at me like WTH just happened here? Fortunately I was in the privacy of my own home though!

Seriously what's our deal with the water ladies!!! Strange right!!

I don't exactly have a "pee" story, but a really embarrassing one!

Back in April, I woke up and wasn't feeling well, right before I left for work I threw up in the bathroom. I figured that it wasn't morning sickness, but I neede to get to work knowing if it got worse I could leave early. Well I wasn't at work 20 min and started feeling naucious again so I began walking down the hallway towards the bathroom. Instead I detoured into the nurses office bc I work in an elementary school. I threw up all over her office bc I couldn't find a trash can right away, once I did I sat on a bed in her office with my head in a trash can. As I began throwing up again, I literally pooped myself!!! I had diarrhea!!!! It came out of my pants and all over the bed! It was so obvious too! I was so embarrassed! Not only was the nurse just staring at me asking if I was ok, which I clearly was not! But the custodian had to be called to disinfect everything!! The worst part was tht I had I walk back down to m classroom to get my belongings, tell my assistan I was leaving, and having a room full of 20 kids laugh bc I pooped myself!!!

Walking in to the hospital 2 weeks ago when I was admitted for pneumonia, I had a massive coughing fit before I could reach the bathroom and peed myself so hard and so fully I peed through the giant pad I was already wearing (for the mutiple pee myself episodes I'd been having!) and fully soaked my pants so that it ran all the way down my legs  and out my pant legs so much that a nurse stopped me in the hall, thought my water had broken and escorted me to L&D.

O M G .... I am SO sorry you had to go  through that!!!! BUT...that's an amazing story that will last you a lifetime lol.

Oh, don't feel bad, I literally pee myself almost everyday.  Laughing, coughing, or even standing up too fast does it for me.  I actually wear a thin maxi pad to cover myself if I'm working or out shopping.  It can be embarrassing but totally normal.  As for the chair, I agree with sanitizing as much as you can.  Urine tends to have a strong smell so you may have to get maintenance involved so your co-workers dont have an unexpected surprise!  Ahhh the joys of pregnancy

You shouldve switched it with another chair so if you sit in that spot again you wouldnt sit in it again and if you had waterpoit it on the seat to get the pee out of the seat

On our babymoon DH and I were lying on the bed in the really nice hotel we splurged on. He's a funny guy and he got me to laughing, I was laughing so hard I started peeing. The situation was so hysterically mortifying to me that I started laughing even harder, snorting, crying and pissing the bed at the same time. DH just had this wide-eyed look on his face while it was happening b/c he had no clue. We had to request a sheet change from housekeeping - so embarrassing!
