I love this picture! If I wasn't on my iPad, I'd add one of M flipping me off too. He just loves that middle finger! To CNYBride, I don't know if it helps, but my guy was born at 34 & 4 and spent 9 days in the NICU. I felt so long while it was happening but actually went by quickly. Just be prepared for lots of emotions and allow yourself to feel all of them. Everything you feel is totally normal. Good luck!
Thanks! I'm ready and scared at the same time. But hearing that 34 weekers are doing well with relatively short NICU stays is comforting! I'm 30w,3d today, hoping to get to 34/35w... I've been on BR for 9w, in the hospital for 7w. I'll do whatever it takes to keep them in as long as I can

You are so strong to this great attitude. At a certain point to protect your sanity, I think it's important to accept what can't be changed. My boy shared a NICU pod with twin boys born around 24 weeks and even though they've had their share of trials, they were doing well too. Having made it to 30 weeks is fantastic!
I just noticed that you're near Boston. I'm not too far myself though I'm closer to Worcester. Do you mind sharing where you live? Feel free to PM me if you'd rather.

I love Cambridge! I went to college just outside the city and loved taking the T to Cambridge. I delivered at UMASS Memorial in Worcester. I puffy heart love my doctor there and the nursing staff in the NICU defies belief in how caring and compassionate they are. I think that's a quality of all NICU nurses, honestly.
I love that we're neighbors. Do you live in Our Fair City?
