Traveling by plane

Has anyone taken a flight with a mobile baby yet? DS won't sit still when I hold him so what do you do while take off and landing? Hold him while hes crying and trying to squirm out? It's a 14 hour flight so I'm sure this will be loads of fun! Any advice and tips will be greatly appreciated! TIA!

    Our friends go to the $1 bin at Target and get toys in there.  One for each hour they are on the plane... It helped on a 5 hour flight...  Another friend made goodie bags for the the passengers sitting around them with a note that said this is our first flight, thanks for being patient with us.....I don't know if any of these would help you....

    Do you have the ability to purchase him a seat? That is an incredibly long flight to expect a baby to last in your arms. I would purchase him a seat, bring the car seat and have him in there for most of the flight. You can take him out, etc. But 14 hours would be hell on me with a baby. Sorry I don't envy you.

    Sorry I forgot to mention that he will have a bassinet to sleep in. Thanks for the tips! DS doesn't really watch anything right now but maybe I should DL some baby shows on my iPad.
